Today, the Moon enters its Last Quarter phase (one week away from the New Moon). The Moon also changes signs from Scorpio to Sagittarius (7:55 am ET). And before that, from 5:06 am to 7:55 am, it is Void of Course, which is when the Moon makes no aspects (angles) to other planets. Initiating anything important during when the Moon is Void of Course brings undesirable results so it’s best to not make important decisions, start new projects or engage in significant activities during this time.
The Last Quarter phase of the moon can feel like a gentle nudge for self-reflection. It’s a time to pause and think about your journey over the past few weeks- a time to reflect on lessons learned and to acknowledge your efforts. This phase is a chance to clear out the clutter—whether that’s letting go of old habits, unfinished projects, or lingering worries. It’s a quiet invitation to prepare for a fresh start with the next New Moon, celebrating what you’ve accomplished while also embracing the opportunity for change.
The Moon’s shift from Scorpio to Sagittarius can shift our mood to a more hopeful one. If the last two days have felt intense or challenging, today’s moon should be a breath of fresh air, uplifting your mind and spirit. You may feel more extroverted and adventurous today, more inclined to push beyond your comfort zone. This is a great day to break free from your daily routine, explore new ideas, or consider new experiences. However, given we’re in the last phase of the Moon (and the last 3 days of Mars Retrograde), it’s best not to start anything new or do anything impulsive.
The Moon’s trine with Neptune and sextile with Pluto, holds great healing potential to transform yourself, especially through spiritual, intuitive, artistic pursuits. The Moon’s square with the Sun may surface any tensions in within your friendship circle, your community or issues related to the wider collective. Pay attention to what annoys or activates you without taking action on it now. The insights you receive at this time will be best spent on your intentions for the New Moon, and addressing them in the new lunar cycle.
