Today marks the First Quarter Moon (11:32 am ET) and still in the sign of Gemini. This is when the Moon and the Sun square each other, signifying tension between our inner world/emotions and our outer experiences (related to identity/ego). The First Quarter Moon lends way to the Waxing Gibbous phase, which unfolds over the next week, just before the Full Moon (which is an Lunar Eclipse!). This coming week will be a time to expand on what we’ve been doing, to develop our ideas or projects. It’s a time for taking action, refining plans, and stay focused.

Having said that though! The Gemini Moon can make this a bit challenging because of its highly stimulating and distracting nature.

Today’s Gemini Moon is busy having a ton of conversation with other planets, some easeful and others not so much. If you find it hard to focus, don’t push yourself. You may need to just let it go and let it flow. It will be hard not to get swept up by the whirlwind of energies. However, if you are needing to focus, then make concerted effort to reduce your distractions.

While there is plenty of optimism to tap into with today’s lunar aspects, the Moon’s square with Saturn can be a bit of a downer later in the day. This transit often manifests as feelings of restriction, melancholy, or emotional heaviness. You my find yourself feeling insecure, isolated or burdened by your commitments. Take note of what’s coming up as it’s signalling something important about your emotional needs.
